Thank you for the excellent care provided to my mother, both before and after her hip operation. Against all the odds, she has gone from being frail and wheelchair bound to robust and independent again. Despite a lengthy stay in residential care, she has fought back to regain her total independence and this could only have been achieved through the fantastic service you and your staff have provided. She has really enjoyed the daily visits, and since she has been independent again, they have been a morale boosting stimulant for her during these Covid Days. Holistically, they have been just as valuable to her as the more traditional hands-on care formerly provided.

Elaine and the team at Addocare Scole have recently provided end of life care for my much loved mother in law in our combined home. The love and care which they demonstrate, not only to my mother in law, but to the whole family far exceeds our expectations. They are reliable, professional, warm and caring. It has been important to us that the unwell person is at the centre of the decision making process regarding their care, and empowered to make all decisions.

Elaine has made a priority, treating her with dignity and respect at all times, and attending to her every need. The physical standard of care is excellent, and having Addocare Scole available to us at this difficult time is making a terrible situation more tolerable.

Elaine and her team from Addocare enabled “V” to return to her home following a hospital admission and subsequent nursing home respite care .. the team ensured that the transition from residential care was a secure, consistent and reassuring experience whilst enabling “V” to gradually increase her self care and independence in her own home. The hand over between the nursing home and Addocare Scole was excellent meaning that the Addocare Scole carers maintained daily routines and quickly ascertained “Vs” likes and dislikes making the transition less stressful for her and giving her the confidence to return home and remain safe. The small team are all kind, friendly and professional whilst always maintaining a caring and positive attitude… they really got to know “V” and meet her needs whilst constantly encouraging and enabling her to develop her independence safely.

The carers are all positive, professional and seem to genuinely enjoy their job – they don’t hurry “V” and take the time to let her do as much as she can herself. The team is small, meaning that there are consistent daily carers and if a new carer is introduced this is done in advance so V always knows who is coming on what day. The care package continues to be flexible in response to Vs changing needs and Elaine ensures that communication between “V”, the carers and myself is two-way and is always at the end of the phone!

I cannot imagine what our situation would be like without Elaine and her team…. quite simply they take the time to care for others as if they are family – with respect, kindness and consistency….

I find all of the staff at Addocare really caring when they are looking after my mum. They have great patience and no task is too small.

The team are well trained, know what they can and can’t do and keep good records so that we can follow what’s been done on a day to day basis when we can’t be there.
